DimSum 0.5.342

Released October 3, 2026.

A fix for a rare installer crash during background installs, so automatic updates finish cleanly.

The same news is on the website's What's new page.

Improved

• Every release is now test-installed in the background before it goes out, so this crash can't come back.

Fixed

• A rare crash in the installer when it runs in the background, which is how automatic updates install.

Before you update

• Nothing to do: 0.5.341 installs this update on its own. Nothing else changed.
