DimSum 0.5.390

DimSum now runs signed in to your Planbase account, with 30 days offline. Sign up by December 31, 2026 and it's free until January 1, 2027. And there's a red Report a bug button on the top bar.

What's new

Sign in with your browser

• DimSum opens Planbase's sign-in page in your normal browser and never sees your password. Click Continue, and DimSum comes back to Home.
• New here? Create your account on the sign-in screen. No card needed.
• Each seat runs on 2 computers at once, such as an office PC and a laptop. On a third, DimSum lists your other computers so you can free one.
• The first time DimSum opens on a computer, it shows the License Agreement once.

Online or Offline, every time it opens

• A short message under the top bar says Online or Offline, and a small indicator in the top bar always shows it.
• An outage on our side never locks you out.
• System Settings → Account & License shows your plan, Workspace, seats, this computer and your other one, with Check now and Sign out.
• A check-in sends only this computer's ID and name, its system, the DimSum version and the update channel. Never your jobs.

The free launch offer

• Sign up by December 31, 2026 and DimSum is free until January 1, 2027, with no mark on your exports and no card to start. The top bar says Free until Jan 1, 2027.
• Founding customers get a second seat free for as long as they subscribe.
• After the offer, a new account gets a 14-day trial, with a small "DimSum Trial" mark on printed and PDF pages.

Your work is never held hostage

• If a trial or license ends, DimSum goes read-only: every job still opens to look at, print and export. Nothing is deleted.
• Critical fixes keep coming even then, and they now install within 3 days.

Report a bug, and Feedback

• A red Report a bug button and a Feedback button sit on the top bar (also Ctrl+Shift+B and Ctrl+Shift+F, and in the Help menu).
• Add a screenshot or diagnostics only if you want to, and see what's in them before you send. Offline, it's saved and sent later.
• Don't want the buttons? Turn them off in System Settings → General.

Before you update

• 0.5.390 arrives as an update. The first time it opens, accept the License Agreement, then click Sign in with your browser and sign in with your Planbase account (or create one, no card needed).
• Your account is complimentary: no trial, no mark and nothing to pay.
